Process Engineer - Backend
For our Wafer Production Engineering department at Axetris AG, we are looking for a self‑reliant and motivated individual to join us as a Process Engineer in the Backend area.
Your tasks
- Responsibility for the continuous improvement of processes and associated equipment
- Development and optimization of production parameters in wafer manufacturing
- Transfer of new processes into serial production
- Specification, evaluation, installation and qualification of new systems and equipment
- Ensuring 2nd-level support for equipment- and process-related issues in production
Your Profile
- Master’s degree (MSc) in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry or a comparable field
- Several years of professional experience in semiconductor manufacturing, ideally in the area of dicing or pick-and-place
- Sound knowledge of common quality and process management methods such as FMEA, 8D, Ishikawa, root cause analysis, etc.
- Very good command of German and English, both written and spoken
- High level of initiative combined with strong implementation skills and a hands-on, practice-oriented approach
