Electrical Safety & Fire Protection Specialist
Electrical safety, technical responsibility, and a strong safety mindset? In this multifaceted role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the safe and legally compliant operation of our electrical systems and machinery.
Your tasks
- Ensuring and further developing electrical safety in the workplace
- Implementing legal requirements, standards, and internal safety standards
- Developing and maintaining the workplace electrical safety plan
- Organizing and supervising periodic inspections of electrical installations, machinery, and equipment
- Planning and coordinating maintenance, testing, and repair work
- Assessing electrical hazards and implementing appropriate protective measures
- Coordinating and supervising external electrical contractors and inspection agencies
- Providing technical support during the procurement and commissioning of new machinery and equipment
- Conducting training and providing instruction on electrical safety
- Assistance in the event of electrical accidents and malfunctions
- Conducting electrical inspections of equipment
- Support with maintenance and repair work
- Serving as the fire safety officer
Your Profile
- Completed vocational training in electrical engineering (EFZ), e.g., as an electrician
- Advanced training in electrical safety, e.g., as an electrical safety consultant or electrical project manager
- Good knowledge of NIV, NIN, and EKAS and SUVA guidelines
- Several years of experience in an industrial setting with electrical systems and machinery
- Experience coordinating external specialized contractors and inspection agencies
- Very good written and spoken German
- Very good computer skills (ERP systems, MS Office)
- Good English skills are a plus
