Maintenance/Technical Services: In Facility Management

Do you enjoy getting your hands dirty, have a knack for technology, and make sure that buildings and facilities operate reliably? Then you’ve come to the right place. We’re looking for an independent and responsible individual to join our team as a Caretaker/Technical Services Specialist in Facility Management (Building Maintenance). In this versatile role, you’ll ensure that our buildings, technical facilities, and outdoor areas remain safe, well-maintained, and in good working order.
Not only will you perform hands-on maintenance work yourself, but you’ll also coordinate with external contractors and serve as a key on-site contact person.

Your tasks

  • Independent management, monitoring, and maintenance of buildings, technical systems, and outdoor areas
  • Performing maintenance, inspection, and minor repair work
  • Resolving simple technical malfunctions and initiating appropriate measures in the event of more complex malfunctions
  • Monitoring building services systems in the areas of heating, ventilation, and plumbing
  • Organizing and coordinating external tradespeople, maintenance, and service companies
  • Supervising and monitoring external service providers on-site
  • Ensuring order, cleanliness, and a well-maintained appearance of indoor and outdoor areas
  • Performing winter maintenance and caring for green spaces and outdoor facilities
  • Implementing and monitoring safety and fire protection regulations within one’s area of responsibility
  • Operating the fire alarm system
  • Documenting maintenance, inspection, and upkeep work
  • Assisting with moves, events, and internal projects
  • Serving as the on-site point of contact for employees, users, and external parties

Your Profile

  • Completed vocational training (EFZ), preferably in a trade or technical field
  • Several years of practical experience in building maintenance, technical maintenance, or facility management
  • Good knowledge of building services systems and building facilities
  • Advanced training as a building manager with a federal certificate is a plus
  • Additional training in building technology, facility management, or occupational safety is a plus
  • Experience coordinating and supervising external trades and service companies is a plus
  • Very good written and spoken German
  • Good computer skills (ERP systems, MS Office)
  • Good English skills are a plus
